Mormon Elixirs

As most Americans know, Mormons' drug of choice is Ephedra which contains amphetamine-like compounds. But what should be noted also is that LDS parables are clumsily obvious allegories about inebriation, particularly with Amanita mushrooms:

And "as most americans know.."? Hmm, I'd guess most Americans don't even know what a Mormon is.

It should be cited that is was actually Joseph Smith, not Brigham Young, that proposed the health code referred to as the "word of wisdom" which encourages members to neither drink nor smoke. The report you link to provides zero evidence of early mormon use of any psychadelics. It was interesting none-the-less, thanks for the info.
