Stunning views of the human place in nature
In this presentation, photographer Edward Burtynky accepts the 2005 TED prize, and offers an immensely mind-expanding perspective via powerful images of the large-scale human impact on nature (and the quasi-naturalistic aspects of human endeavors). No words to describe it actually, just watch. Be forewarned, though, it's about half an hour.
